About Preferred Materials
Preferred Materials was formed in 2007 through the acquisition of ready mix concrete, concrete block and building materials assets throughout Florida. These assets include 32 plants in the Panhandle, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and Ft. Myers/Naples markets. In 2009 through reorganization, Preferred Materials added APAC's aggregate interests to our product offering. Preferred Materials now supplies aggregates, crushed limestone, sand and gravel to many markets in south Florida. We are proud of our highly experienced and expert employees — many of whom worked for well-known companies such as Cemex, Keys Concrete and Rinker Materials. As part of the Oldcastle family and headquartered in Tampa, our diversity is a source of our strength. With operations in five key Florida markets, Preferred Materials can supply materials for your next project big or small.
